The Dynamics of Gene Expression Unraveling the Immune Response of Macrobrachium rosenbergii Infected by Aeromonas veronii

To further investigate the immune response of Macrobrachium rosenbergii against Aeromonas veronii, comparative transcriptomic analyses M. hepatopancreas were conducted on challenge and control groups at 6, 12, 24 h post-infection (hpi), independently. A total 51,707 high-quality unigenes collected from RNA-seq data, 8060 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) discovered through paired comparisons. Among three comparison groups, a KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that 173 immune-related DEGs considerably clustered into 28 pathways, including lysosome, phagosome, etc. Moreover, expression levels four key (TOLL, PAK1, GSK3β, IKKα) evaluated various stages following in hepatopancreas, hemolymph, gills. Both PAK1 GSK3β highly up-regulated all tissues 6 hpi with A. veronii; TOLL was hemolymph but down-regulated gill hpi, IKKα gill, hpi. These findings lay groundwork for understanding mechanism after contracting veronii.
